Benign Skin Leisons

As these lesions are not cancerous, there is no medical need for removal. Removal of a benign lesion is considered cosmetic. Treatment options include cryotherapy, scissor excision, and electrocautery. Benign lesions may include seborrheic keratosis, cherry angioma, telangiectasia, dermatofibroma, skin tag, and lentigo.

Advantages: Quick and effective with minimal discomfort.

Disadvantages: May cause discoloration at treatment site. Treatment is considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance.
